A Running Community Built on Passion

Baddesley And District Group of Enlightened Running Souls, short name BADGERS!

BADGERS is more than just a running club; it's a thriving community rooted in shared enthusiasm for the sport. What began as a small group of friends united by one woman's passion for running in 2011 has blossomed into a dynamic club with over 200 members spanning across Warwickshire, Staffordshire, and Leicestershire.

The heart of BADGERS is its inclusive and supportive atmosphere. Whether you're a seasoned marathoner chasing personal bests or a novice taking those first tentative steps, you'll find a welcoming environment where encouragement is plentiful. The club's focus on enjoyment and fun ensures that every run is a pleasurable experience, regardless of pace or distance.

With three weekly training sessions catering to all abilities, BADGERS offers a structured approach to running while accommodating different fitness levels and goals. From building endurance on long runs to sharpening speed through interval training, there's something for everyone. Additionally, the club actively participates in various races and competitions throughout the Midlands, providing members with opportunities to test their limits and celebrate their achievements together.

BADGERS' rapid growth and enduring popularity are a testament to the club's ability to foster a strong sense of camaraderie and shared purpose. It's a place where runners of all backgrounds can come together, support each other, and achieve their running aspirations.

From handling the day-to-day administrative tasks to crafting engaging press releases and keeping the club's online presence up-to-date, their efforts are instrumental in creating a vibrant and supportive environment for all members.

The club's run leaders are more than just guides; they are mentors and friends. Their wealth of experience, coupled with their friendly demeanor, makes them invaluable assets to the BADGERS community. Whether you're a seasoned runner chasing personal bests or a beginner taking your first steps, the run leaders are always on hand to offer guidance, encouragement, and camaraderie.

By operating on a volunteer basis, BADGERS can allocate a greater proportion of its resources to supporting its members and organizing events.
