9am Sat 15th – 9am Sun 16th
Camping, BBQ & HQ
Collectively as a Club
09:00 – The Launch: Kingsbury parkrun Takeover 🐾 We want a massive sea of BADGERS club kit on the start line to bank our very first official kilometres! We are also aiming to completely fill the volunteer roster for the morning. If you are resting your legs for a big run later in the day, please sign up to volunteer and support the club.
10:30 – The Camp Commute: An optional, scenic 4.5-mile group run straight from Kingsbury Water Park to our campsite basecamp.
12:00 onwards – The Totaliser Goes Live: The master Kilometre Totaliser Board officially goes live at the campsite as we begin tracking our progress towards the 1,500km goal.
14:00 – The Great BADGERS Rounders Match: Dust off your competitive non-running shoes for a classic, fun game of rounders.
17:00 – BBQ & Social: The grills are lit! Bring your own BBQ food and drinks, soak up the music, and enjoy the afternoon and evening with the best company around.
22:00 – The Headtorch Shifts: Group night-runs departing from the campsite for the night owls who love a cool run in the dark.
07:30 – The Sunday Social: Our normal Sunday Social Long Run. We'll be putting those morning kilometres to brilliant use by adding them straight to our grand total.
09:00 – The Final Countdown: The 24-hour clock officially stops! The final kilometres are tallied up on the whiteboard, and the grand 15th-birthday total is revealed.
While the schedule above highlights the organised group runs we will be hosting from the campsite, you are completely free to run whenever, wherever, and however you like across the 24 hours.
This is a true endurance challenge, and how you conquer it is entirely up to you. For example, you could:
The Front Loader: Run non-stop for the first 12 hours, then spend the remaining 12 hours sleeping, eating, and partying.
The Clockwatcher: Take on a unique challenge and run at least 1km every single hour, on the hour, for 24 hours.
The Ultra: Go all-in for a full 24-hour endurance challenge to see how many personal kilometres you can rack up for the club.
The Remote Badger: Can't make it to the campsite or Kingsbury? No problem. Run a 10k from your own front door at midnight, submit it online, and your kilometres are safely on the board.
There is no right or wrong way to do this. We just need you, our incredible members, to run as many kilometres as you can within that 24-hour window.
Whether you contribute 5km or 50km, every single stride helps us smash our 1,500km birthday goal!
Crucial: Pre-registration is required for EVERYONE attending the weekend or taking part in the challenge.
Whether you are camping overnight, popping down as a day visitor for the Saturday BBQ and rounders, running on-site, or logging your kilometres remotely from home—we need you to fill out the form below.
Knowing our total numbers is vital. It allows us to safely manage the campsite logistics and gives us a clear headcount to calculate the average running distance needed per person to smash our 1,500km goal.
Don't panic: You do not have to run exactly that average distance! Some people will run much more, and some will run less and that is absolutely fine. Knowing our total numbers simply helps us with the master planning and logistics.
As part of our 15th birthday celebrations, we want to raise money for a fantastic cause. We are asking everyone taking part in the challenge to make a donation to participate. If you are planning to tackle a big distance over the 24 hours, you could also get friends and family to sponsor your kilometres!
Use the form below to also nominate a charity close to your heart. We will shortlist the top suggestions and open a club-wide vote later this month to choose our official 15th-anniversary charity.
To ensure every kilometre is fairly tracked, here are the guidelines for the weekend:
The 24-Hour Window: Only kilometres run between Saturday 15th August 9:00 AM and Sunday 16th August 9:00 AM count (need to have finished by 9am)
BADGERS Only: To celebrate the club's milestone, only kilometres run by BADGERS club members can be logged toward the 1,500km target. Family and friends are warmly invited to come along, run with you for support and company, but their kilometres won't count on the total!
Running & Jeffing Only: This is a running club milestone challenge. Running and 'Jeffing' (run-walk intervals) count perfectly. Pure walking kilometres do not count towards the total.
Run Anywhere: You do not have to be at the campsite to contribute. If you are away or running from home that weekend, your kilometres still count as long as they are logged via the form before Sunday 9:00 AM.
Honour Logging: Every time you complete a stint, you simply submit your distance via our quick logging form and our stato's will update the live campsite totaliser board.
The 24-hour clock officially starts at 09:00 AM on Saturday 15th August, and we are launching the challenge with a massive BADGERS takeover at Kingsbury Water parkrun!
To get our 1,500km birthday goal off to a flying start, we want to flood the park with black and white. Whether you are running hard to bank your first 5km, 'jeffing' your way around, or helping out on by volunteering, this is where the weekend's energy begins.
Our very own Matt Green, is stepping up as the Run Director (RD) for the morning! To support Matt and give back to the local running community, we want plenty of BADGERS stepping up to volunteer alongside those who are running. We need to strike a great balance between banking those vital first kilometres on the course and filling up the support roles.
Matt has already blocked out the volunteer rota, so you can get your name down straight away by contacting him directly! Please note that we want to fully respect the wonderful KWP regulars, like Ken and Margaret, who are a firm part of the scenery and have specific roles they love to do. Matt will be coordinating the slots directly to see where our volunteers can best support the core team.
Let's make this a massive visual takeover. The dress code for the morning is simple: BADGERS Kit. Dust off your club race tops, t-shirts, vests, shorts, or leggings and let's see if we can get some vintage vests out there too! Let's make sure the club is unmistakably visible from the start line to the finish funnel.
If you choose to run the 5k instead of volunteering, your job is to bring the famous Badger camaraderie to the course. Cheer on your clubmates, encourage the general public, and bring the noise with the famous BADGER ROAR as you make your way around the 5km route. Let’s make the atmosphere unforgettable right from the very first kilometre!
The beating heart of our 15th-birthday celebrations will be based at the gorgeous Hollinshead Family Farm, where we have secured a fantastic private area perfect for tents, campervans, and motorhomes.
This isn't just a campsite, it’s our official 24-Hour Challenge HQ. It’s where our totaliser board will live, where runners will collapse into camp chairs after logging their kilometres, and where the party happens!
Expect a full afternoon and evening of music, drinks, outdoor games, and incredible company with the best Badger friends around. And yes - by popular demand, BADGERS Rounders is officially back!
Please note that we are not pitched in the main public campsite area at the farm. Instead, the BADGERS have exclusive use of a private field called "The Dugout".
Because it is a rural field, the standard postcode will not get you to the right gate. Please use one of the precise navigation options below to find us easily.
What3Words: The most accurate way to find the exact entrance gate is using the What3Words address: ///crowns.tonight.bulky
Google Maps: You can also open the exact coordinates directly in your app here: Google Maps Location Link
Depending on which direction you are traveling from, look out for the following landmarks:
Coming from Bentley / Baxterley / Atherstone: Drive past the main farm entrance and the main public campsite. The entrance to The Dugout private field will be further down the road past them.
Coming from Kingsbury / Hurley / Foul End: Look out for the entrance to The Dugout on your way in just before a sharp left hand bend. It is located before you reach the farm and the main public campsite.
A private, spacious camping field.
Large communal BBQs lit and ready for cooking. Cooking is your own responsibility.
A festival atmosphere with music, games, and the tracking whiteboard.
Your tent, camper, and camping gear (if staying overnight).
Your favourite food to throw on the BBQ, plus plenty of drinks and snacks to keep you fuelled.
Your favourite outdoor garden games.
Your running kit, headtorch, and plenty of Badger team spirit!
Since our Saturday night social is a BYO BBQ, you can make your food prep completely effortless by using the fantastic on-site butcher's shop at Hollinshead Family Farm. They offer a brilliant pre-order BBQ Pack that you can collect and pay for directly on the day.
This massive pack is perfect for fueling your weekend mileage and consists of:
4 x Chicken kebabs
2 x Lamb kebabs
4 x Burgers
2 x Lamb chops
6 x Sausages
The farm shop is open Friday & Saturday from 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM. They also has a full selection of other individual meat options available if you want to customise your menu.
To place a pre-order, simply message your requirements to 07895548186. Your order will be prepped and ready for you to pay for upon collection when you arrive at the farm!
There is absolutely no need to book your pitch with the campsite directly. We have our own private area sorted! However, please ensure you have filled out our club pre-registration form at the top of this page so we have precise total numbers, as the campsite requires this for Health & Safety reasons.
Adult Campers: £15 per night
Child Campers: £10 per night
Dogs: £5 (must be kept on a lead)
Day Visitors (Non-Campers): £5 per adult (gives you full access to the campsite, social space, games, and BBQs all afternoon and evening!)
To help us keep the weekend running smoothly and minimise logistics on the day, we are handling payments directly through the club:
Option 1 (Preferred): Ideally, we ask that you pay the club upfront via a standard BACS bank transfer to our normal club account closer to the event. We will send out a reminder with the account details when it is time to pay!
Option 2: If you can't pay upfront, don't worry! You can still pay on the day. We will be accepting cash on arrival, but please try to bring the exact money if possible so our volunteers don't have to hunt around for change.
Once you have filled out the pre-registration form on this page, head over to our official Facebook Group Event to RSVP, chat about coordinate BBQ food, and brag about how many midnight kilometres you plan to bank for the club!
Event page going live soon!
