2025 LRRL - Race 9

Information

• A 5 mile road race through Huncote, Narborough and Enderby. The race was established in 1993 and is run in the memory of Huncote Harrier club runner Joy Cann.

• This year the Joy Cann 5 is a closed race open to Leicestershire Road Running League club members only. Any transfers must go to individuals who meet this criteria.

• The race is an LRRL League race and attracts a top class field from around the county, making this a great event with an excellent prize list.

• A significant proportion of the profits from the race are donated to local charities.

• Please note the location is the same as last year. The race will once again start and finish in Forest Road, at the rear of the Next PLC Head Office in Enderby.

• This year there will be a cutoff time of 1 hr 15 minutes - Runners will need to stay ahead of the sweep vehicle, otherwise they continue at their own risk without marshal support.

• No headphones, in-ear devices or bone conductors are permitted, unless for medical reasons. Any use will lead to disqualification.

• To avoid congestion at the start and to prevent premature triggering of the timing mats, we will be asking runners to assemble behind the start line 5 - 10 minutes before the race start time, to enable us to lay the mats down after all runners are in place.

• Entry fee £10 attached, £12 unattached.

• Race numbers are to be collected by club reps on the night.

• There will be no entries on the night of the race.

• Parking is at Next PLC Head Office, Desford Road, Enderby, LE19 4AT.

• The Derby Runner will have a stall at the race.

• Please note: the whole car parking area is covered by CCTV so PLEASE ONLY USE THE TOILETS PROVIDED.
