There is NO parking charge – this is included in the adult race fee
The course is marked with red/white tape, blue flags and stakes. A new fence near the Battlefield Centre has created a short (approximately 20m) enclosed path at the exit to the first wood. To allow walkers to continue to use the path, please ensure: JUNIOR runners stay in single file on the LEFT-HAND side, ADULT runners stay in single file on the RIGHT-HAND side. Please, can we also request that spectators do not stand in this section.
5.3 miles approximately. The course is a mixture of fields, track, muddy trails and woods with wet areas. And the infamous Bosworth Bog! There are 2 small tarmac sections back up by the car park, a gravel track to Shenton Station, and numerous tree stumps, roots and a few fallen trees in the woods.
Spikes, or ‘off-road’ shoes, would be suitable (Trainers will be a struggle)
Toilets are available in the Battlefield Heritage Centre – cardboard will be put down to maintain cleanliness; however, please be courteous to Battlefield Centre visitors and do not use these if you are very muddy! Please do NOT use the toilets opposite the restaurant – this is at the request of the Battlefield Centre. 3 x Portaloos will also be available on the field near the tent and finish area.
Well-behaved dogs are welcome; however, please do not take them on the parts of the course away from public footpaths or Battlefield Centre paths, as this is private land.
The Tithe Barn Restaurant at Bosworth Battlefield Visitor Centre Please note – this is open to the public – do not take up tables unless you are purchasing food/drink from the restaurant.
