NOTE: CAR SHARING IS ESSENTIAL - ONLY CARS WITH 3 OR MORE PEOPLE WILL BE ALLOWED ON THE MAIN CAR PARK.

Hermitage Harriers' inaugural 5-mile road race 2026.

A 5-mile road race on the track and support roads of Mallory Park Racing Circuit, Kirkby Mallory. Access is via the Church Road Entrance.

The race is completely traffic-free and takes place on the circuit itself and the surrounding access roads.

Hermitage 5 is an LRRL League Race and is only open to members of Leicestershire Road Running League clubs. Any transfers must go to individuals who meet this criteria.

Race HQ is located at the cafe on the In-Field. Please follow Marshal instructions and signage. The cafe & Bar will be open during and after the event.

The Start/Finish are both located on the In-Field, and Pit Garages have been allocated to clubs for use of bag storage and changing, etc. Please see your number envelope for your allocated Garage. If you prefer to bring your club tent, there are areas for these to be pitched, but there is no vehicular access to the In-Field, and tents etc will need to be carried from the car park.

There will be one water station at the finish.

In line with other 5 Mile League Races, there will be a cut-off time of 1 hr 15 minutes - Runners will need to stay ahead of the sweep vehicle; otherwise they continue at their own risk without marshal support.

No headphones, in-ear devices or bone conductors are permitted, unless for medical reasons. Any use will lead to disqualification.

Race numbers are to be collected by club reps on the night.

There will be no entries on the night of the race.

Parking at Mallory Park is via the Main Entrance, Church Road, off Main St, Kirkby Mallory LE9 7QE.

The Derby Runner will have a stall at the race.

Toilet Blocks are available throughout the site.

Please note: Dogs are NOT allowed within the Circuit Grounds

The Hermitage 5 is a closed race open to Leicestershire Road Running League club members only.

Transfers permitted up to Thursday 20th August 2026.
Transfers from members of LRRL Member clubs will only be allowed to other members of LRRL Member clubs.
Entries are open to runners aged 16 or over on the day of the race - permission from parents/guardians must be given for runners under 18 years old.
Any junior runner entering must be a member of an Affiliated Club which has a safeguarding policy, and that has a Club Officer holding a current Athletics DBS Certificate present at the race
