To claim a club record, you must be a First Claim member of BADGERS. All record-setting times must be achieved at RunEvents (England Athletics) Licensed Road Races on accurately measured courses.
Road Races Only: No fun runs, mixed terrain, or cross-country events.
Parkruns: Any parkrun is allowed.
Power of 10: Your official time must appear on your Power of 10 profile, and you must be listed as a BADGERS runner on the system.
Point-to-Point Races: Races with different start and finish locations are generally excluded because of unfair tailwinds or downhill slopes. However, you can use a point-to-point race if it meets both of these strict limits:
The start and finish lines are no further apart than 50% of the total race distance (measured in a straight line).
The overall elevation drop from start to finish is no more than 1 meter per kilometer (1:1000). (Example: The London Marathon passes both rules and counts, but the Great North Run fails these rules and cannot be used).
Please note: It is the runner's responsibility to let us know they have run a race that qualifies for a club record.
If you meet all the criteria and wish to claim a club record, please submit your claim via email to records@badgers.run. (Please do not submit claims or ask questions via the Facebook group!)
